life is all about learning and unlearning and learning new...we learn, we apply, we re-inforce the learning...it's one ongoing process.
situation : mom and dad will be travelling by tomorrow morning's train...the tickets are still wait-listed...the next best possible alternative - u guessed it right - TATKAL booking.

with all the grit and determination and ofcourse HOPE, at 10 o'clock dot...i logged into irctc.co.in - online ticketing portal for Indian railways. the website is work of genius and handles online reservation for Indian raliways pan-India. and it is this exact fact that makes it worth writing blog on this...
the issue is that at 10 o'clock sharp, the site is subjected to pan-india drone attack. As if all the people who are waiting for their chance to get seat in train making rush for the reservation. It's like Agent Smith having a go at Neo from all the directions...
the result is - site loading at snails pace...now what makes it more thrilling and exciting is that - though ur site is getting loaded slow...the tickets are flying high...as if mad-rush for christmas sale...Much to my delight and elation, the page where one enters the booking details pops-up in front of me...after entering the details frantically, i click the "Make Payment" button. thankfully the site moves ahead where it asks me to enter credit card details...i do the needful and hit "BUY" button...such is crunch situation, even the rotations of time clock seems slow...and bingo i get a big message which roughly translates as "Unable to BOOK the tickets"
"aarrrgh" i once again embark on a long journey of starting from scratch...follow the same process..enter the details...make payment and kaboom!!! "unable to book"
meanwhile the tickets are not waiting for me...the seats are now down to 6 from 11...i am reminded of childhood story of "The King and The Spider"...try, try but don cry...well i would like to re-christened it as "KEEP TRYING" on lines of Johnnie Walker. yes, u guessed it write,'KEEP WALKING'...
i keep trying and after 6 unsuccessful attempts, i hit the jackpot...."TRINGGGGGGGGGG" i get the most awaited message from IRCTC..."Transaction Successful"...tickets booked...wat makes it more wonderful is that even IRCTC recognises this hardwork :D , as they themselves post the message of "Congratulations! You have successfully booked a ticket."
well, life has its own way of making you learn new things, the idea is to be patient and
"Keep Walking - Keep Trying"
This sounds like a newspaper article ! Column if I can say. Keep Writing, well lifted from your Keep Walking, Keep Trying so on"s .
